In the heart of Los Angeles County’s Third District, where the homelessness crisis is most visible and urgent, FeedMyPoor, com has spent the last five years proving that a simple, mobile solution can save lives every single day. With one truck, we have already delivered hundreds of thousands of meals directly to those who need them most - not in shelters they struggle to reach, but right where they are. Now, with your support, we can expand to three trucks, bringing nearly 400,000 meals each year to Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, and the Westside. We operate lean, with no money wasted on inflated salaries or unnecessary overhead - every dollar goes straight to food, fuel, and service. This is more than food - it is dignity, safety, and the first step toward real change. Will you help?
Before focusing on a local solution, it’s important to understand the broader vision. The Mercy Project is designed as a comprehensive, county-wide initiative to address homelessness, hunger, hygiene, and health in a sustainable way. It’s not just about handing out meals , it’s about creating a system of mobile food trucks, hygiene stations, medical vans, and housing pods that together form an integrated safety net.
This initiative paints a picture of long-term, scalable transformation, where no one in Los Angeles County slips through the cracks. The Mercy Project is about building infrastructure, partnerships, and accountability at every level. It’s a five-year plan with measurable goals, an investment into both human dignity and community stability. That’s the endgame - a society where no one has to choose between eating, washing, or sleeping in safety.
But before we can reach that larger vision, there is an immediate crisis: people are starving on our streets today. Like a combat medic on the battlefield, we can’t wait for the hospital to be built before treating the wounded. We must act now – in real time – to save lives.
That’s why the first step is simple yet critical: deploying food trucks to feed the hungry in Los Angeles County immediately. This is about triage, about putting nourishment into the hands of people who haven’t eaten in days, and showing them that someone cares.
By showing both pieces together – the Mercy Project as the long-term, county-wide system and the local food truck initiative as the immediate, life-saving response – people can see that we are not offering a band-aid. We are responding with urgency while also committing to a lasting solution. This balance is what will inspire confidence: we are not just reacting to the crisis, we are building a pathway out of it.

For the past five years, FeedMyPoor has operated a single mobile food truck in Los Angeles County, delivering thousands of meals directly to those experiencing homelessness. Our program is simple but effective: one nutritious meal per person, per day - meeting the most urgent need of life itself, food.
We now seek funding to expand into Los Angeles County’s Third District, an area that includes Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, West Hollywood, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Santa Monica, Topanga, and Venice. Additionally, we will extend our second truck into Downtown Los Angeles, where the crisis is even more concentrated, particularly in and around Skid Row.
This district reflects the full scale of the homelessness crisis - encampments under freeway overpasses, along Venice Beach, in Hollywood, and throughout Downtown. Our goal is to expand from one truck to three, ensuring that thousands of individuals receive consistent daily meals while also creating hubs where other services can reach them.
This means nearly 400,000 meals per year, directly addressing hunger at scale.
